
Oak Lifestyle ChoicesOak Lifestyle Choices is one of the 6 divisions within Oak Tasmania and it provides a comprehensive range of lifestyle choices for people who live with physical and intellectual disabilities and social disadvantage, through community and centre based facilities and integration programmes. The division is comprised of Oak Tasmania’s Community Living Programme, Technology Learning Centre, Oak Respite Services, and Day Services. More Day ServicesThe day services programs offered at Daly Road, Lenah Valley and Letitia Street, North Hobart have a strong focus on developing the interests and motivations of participants by building skills and self-confidence and creating opportunities to demonstrate success and achievement. Programmes are offered for different age, interest and ability groups in fully accessible community access centres. More Community Living ProgrammeOak Tasmania’s Community Living Programme offers accommodation options for people with intellectual disabilities and provides support to people who live independently in the community. More Technology Learning CentreOak’s Technology Learning Centre at Eady Street, Glenorchy is a specialist centre that provides flexible, personalised and self-paced information technology (IT) training. The TLC uses assistive technology to deliver nationally recognised training. More Oak Respite ServicesOak Respite Services aims to maintain or improve the quality of life and well being for carers of people with disabilities - supporting them to continue to care for their family. More Chance on MainChance on Main (CHoM) is an early intervention program for young people aged 10-19 years who are at risk of entering the juvenile justice system, disengaging from school or training programs, or experiencing difficulties living with their family. Using restorative practices, CHoM supports young people to develop life and decision making skills, increase academic competence and job readiness. It also improves the health and wellbeing of young people involved in the program through offering opportunities to address issues of anger management, mental health, nutrition, alcohol and drug use and sexual health.
