Day Services
The day services programs offered at Daly Road, Lenah Valley and Letitia Street, North Hobart have a strong focus on developing the interests and motivations of participants by building skills and self-confidence and creating opportunities to demonstrate success and achievement. Programmes are offered for different age, interest and ability groups in community access centres that are fully accessible for people using wheelchairs or walking frames. Participants enjoy the maximum degree of independence possible in the least restrictive environment – allowing them to be as functional and adaptive as possible and giving them the confidence and competence to live a normative, good life. Participants are able to choose from a wide variety of options including life skills, computer skills, daily living skills, leisure and recreation, community and social interaction.
