Oak’s Technology Learning Centre at Eady Street, Glenorchy is a specialist centre that specifically works with community members, people from socially disadvantaged backgrounds and those with disabilities who are interested in acquiring skills and competence in information and digital technologies. The centre demonstrates inclusive principals to deliver a wide variety of programs focusing on the use of technology and learning. The inclusive learning environment is flexible, personalized and self-paced, facilitating successful integration of assistive technology to deliver nationally recognised training. Many participants are using computer/digital technology to discover new and exciting ways to overcome personal challenges, enabling them to access a wide range of information and increase their communication skills.
